IGN.com has posted an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of "The Gertrude" featuring production sketches and 360 panoramic set views.

director Bryan Singer and production designer Guy Hendrix Dyas were intent to make their movie the ideal third chapter in the series. "Hopefully you can see it and go 'okay, this fits in,'" says Dyas. "And it will. We kept the designs similar, with only a few departures." Apart from the series' more well-known designs - such as The Daily Planet, the Fortress of Solitude, and the Kent family farm - Superman Returns' grand stylistic departure is Lex Luthor's extraordinarily opulent motor vessel: The Gertrude.

Superman Returns preparing to beat the Video game market

Despite bad critics from the media, Superman Returns is still up for another battle. Winning the videogame market.

We've seen the games: impressive graphics, next-gen console game. But will it live to the expectations?. I really doubt it, in special, after knowing that EA is making the game. EA has done a lot of cool games, but with movie franchises well, they don't do much good.

Anyway, I wish I had an Xbox 360, so I could play the "cool" version. :D

It seems at the end Imax has done a big load of money with Superman Returns. Grossing $6.83 million for the giant-screen exhibitor in its first seven-day box-office run, Superman Returns has been a success at least financially speaking, but at the end, yo know, we want you to tell us what you think of the movie itself.

Superman Returns 4th TV Spot

Well, if the Simpsons hasn't already played for you, there's still time. Apparently the first commercial of the second break in tonight's episode of The Simpsons contains the new 4th TV spot for Superman Returns. It's already being discussed here, and keep an eye on BlueTights tonight as there will likely be digital versions emerging online shortly.

Superman Returns in Total Film UK

Faster than a speeding bullet, Future's Total Film hits newsstands tomorrow (Wednesday), as the first UK movie magazine to offer a collectors cover for summer blockbuster, Superman Returns.

The magazine transforms its front cover into a newspaper, reporting the return of Superman to Metropolis - one of the major storylines in the movie, which hits cinemas on Friday 14th July[UK]. The final poster art for Superman Returns has shown up online, and it’s actually one of the nicer images we’ve seen for the film so far. The shot, as seen here, shows the Man of Steel floating above the Earth. Presumably returning to Earth, as it were.

In case you’ve been living in a fortress of solitude for the past year, Superman Returns picks up a few years after the original Superman: The Movie, with the Man of Steel returning to Earth after a long absence, only to find that things have changed significantly in the interim. Oh, and he does a lot of cool stuff with his superpowers throughout the film.

The movie opens on June 30. It will also debut in IMAX 3D that same day.

SupermanVillain posted at The Planet today that he saw a Warner Bros. Movie World/Coca Cola commercial on Fox 8 in Australia. More importantly, he said the ad contained new footage from the film. The footage, for those who've read their spoilers, is apparently from a particular high-speed chase Superman engages in. If you don't mind seeing potentially spoilery images, check them out here.

Superman Trailer Confirmed + TONS More!

SuperheroHype has confirmed today that the theatrical trailer for Superman Returns will be attached to Mission Impossible 3 and Poseidon.

Superhero Hype! has confirmed that the new Superman Returns trailer will be enclosed in the can with Paramount's "Mission: Impossible III," opening next Friday, May 5th and will also be attached to all prints of WB's "Poseidon" the following week, on Friday, May 12th.

MI:3 comes out next weekend, so make sure you don't miss out on the most anticipated 2 minutes and 28 seconds of the year!

That is followed up by this announcement, which suggests that television stations will be getting their hands on the Superman Returns trailer soon as well. It's a great time to be a Superman fan.

In addition, the current issue of Scr(i)pt Magazine has a 6 page spread about Superman Returns, written by Mike Dougherty and Dan Harris. Also, you can catch a Superman Returns article about Lois Lane over at IGN. A little weekend wrap-up tonight for Superman Returns. DrivingMrSpacey is reporting that Kevin Spacey, who plays the villanious Lex Luthor in Superman Returns, will be hosting the season finale of Saturday Night Live on May 20th.

Also tonight, there's a great podcast up for those looking for more information on John Ottman's score. SoundTrack.net has updated with their most recent podcast - an interview with SR composer and editor John Ottman. It's a great interview with Ottman in which he discusses the many elements he's bringing into the score from the original Williams theme, plus the he goes into a pretty reasonable amount of detail on his original parts of the score.

Superman Returns Cast to Voice the SR Video Game

Electronic Arts and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced today they have secured an all-star cast for the voices in Superman Returns: The Videogame. The game will feature the voice and likeness of Brandon Routh (Superman/Clark Kent) as well as the voices of Kevin Spacey (Lex Luthor), Kate Bosworth (Lois Lane), Parker Posey (Kitty Kowalski) and Sam Huntington (Jimmy Olsen), all reprising their roles from the upcoming Warner Bros. Pictures film directed by Bryan Singer.

Launching with the film this summer on June 28, Superman Returns: The Videogame allows players to experience a real sense of flying, and master Superman's unrivaled powers in order to save Metropolis. Based on the classic DC Comics books as well as the upcoming motion picture, Superman Returns: The Videogame draws from more than 60 years of comic lore to create the ultimate open-world super hero experience.

Superman Returns Framed Film Cells

Play.com has two interesting new collectors items from Superman Returns. Among the many action figures they sell, they also have listed three framed photos, each flanked with film cells from Superman Returns. One is a new photo of Brandon in costume, and another is the teaser poster. They are both available for pre-order, and are expected to be released May 19th, 2006. Two of the frames measure 36 x 21 x 1cm each, and the third measures 18 x 13 x 1cm and can be viewed at the links below.

Superman Flying Techniques

BrandonRouth.com has posted another link to Zero-G Action Wire Specialists, the effects team that specializes in making people fly. They've added a video to their site that demonstrates some of their work. It starts with several shots from The Matrix films, and then proceeds to their work on Superman Returns. The video has some incredible shots of both Stephan and Brandon in their wire rigs getting a little flying practice.

What were the challenges in doing the effects for Superman Returns?

First, tradition making sure that we have a movie that is true to the tradition of the iconic Superman. Two, this is a movie where theres an awful lot of Superman flying around. He flies by every means available, from huge hydraulic gimbal rigs to digital doubles and even having Superman standing on a box of green screen. Its good to keep a lot of tricks available so you can find the best solution to the problem. If he were always a digital character, it would be wrong.

AICN got to spend some one on one time with Superman star Brandon Routh at this year's ShoWest convention in Las Vegas. They chatted about several things, including what it's like to be made into a toy.

QUINT: I noticed the Weta Collectible SUPERMAN RETURNS statues just popped up online and have seen a lot of the merchandising for the movie previewed out of Toy Fair. Is it weirding you out to see yourself starting to pop up all over the place?

BRANDON ROUTH: Yeah, it's crazy. I've seen some of the stuff online and some of the things look like me and some of the things don't really look so much like me. (laughs) Like they had to make the jaw bigger because it has to fit on the neck joint on these things. I've heard these things, I understand. Maybe it's good that not everything looks like me. But it's pretty crazy, especially those Weta things. I know Bryan (Singer)'s really excited about those things happening. I'm eager to actually see one in person.

BrandonRouth.com posted some new links to a couple of the effects houses who worked on Superman Returns. One of the companies, Zero-G Action Wire Specialists has a new, albeit small photo on their site. It shows Brandon in an elaborate wire harness, flying in front of a green screen. It's a pretty cool picture, and an interesting illustration of just how far wire work has come.

Superman Coming to IMAX 3D

IMAX Corporation and Warner Bros. Pictures today announced that Superman Returns, directed by Bryan Singer, will become the world's first live-action Hollywood feature to be converted from 2D to IMAX 3D. IMAX Corporation will use its proprietary 2D to 3D conversion technology to convert approximately 20 minutes of the film into An IMAX 3D Experience, the most immersive cinematic 3D in the world.

"Releasing select sequences of 'Superman Returns' in IMAX 3D marks a groundbreaking moment in movies," said Dan Fellman, President of Domestic Distribution at Warner Bros. Pictures. "This film is going to give fans an opportunity to be immersed in a major live-action motion picture like never before."

The epic action-adventure directed by Bryan Singer ("X-Men," The Usual Suspects), will be transformed into the unparalleled image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience through IMAX DMR (Digital Re-Mastering) technology. The film will be simultaneously released to IMAX and conventional theatres on June 30, 2006. Warner Bros. Pictures will be the exclusive distributor of the film to the growing IMAX theatre network worldwide.

"The test scenes that have been converted into IMAX 3D look, sound and feel absolutely amazing," added Bryan Singer, director of Superman Returns. "The magic of IMAX 3D will envelop audiences in this story, enabling them to feel the emotion, drama and suspense in a completely new and unique way."

During select sequences of the film, a visual cue designed by Singer will indicate when audiences should put on and remove their IMAX 3D glasses.

In our continuing behind the scenes coverage of the development of Superman Returns: The Video Game, we start this time with more great conceptual art for the city of Metropolis. The model to the right is a large plaster mockup of the gameplay area created by the game's Art Director. The model represents an area slightly larger than the area which you can play in as Superman. The large island towards the middle of the model is Metropolis itself, surrounded on all sides by water.

This second model is a more detailed version of the city itself, designed to give game programmers an idea of the sheer density of the city they're dealing with. The model also illustrates how the city was designed to be experienced vertically. Instead of everything existing on a single plane, the island is made up of multiple tiers, allowing for varied and interesting flight experiences as you soar around the city you've sworn to protect. Below you can view three details of the Metropolis model, constructed of plaster and balsa wood.

Being the first open world game to allow the player to move vertically and horizontally, Metropolis is specifically designed for fun at all levels. Objects at all levels are interactive. You can pick up cars to hurl at your enemies, or fly to the top of the GNN building and commandeer one of their broadcasting satellite dishes for the greater good of distributing beat-downs to villains in need.

Metropolis is more than just your sanbox in this game, though. It's your constant mission. As Superman, you're sworn to protect the people of this great city. Previous games have always given Superman a life meter, and we all know that simply won't do for Superman. Staying true to the ways of the comics, in Superman Returns: The Video Game, you're not fighting for your own life, but for those in the city around you. As you battle your opponents, a "City Health" meter on your screen monitors how much damage they are inflicting on their surroundings.

With Metropolis fate always at stake, you're forced to make the REAL decisions of a Superman. No more can you afford to play it safe to recharge your health and fight another day. You will be faced constantly with decisions that seperate the boys from the Supermen. For example - you fly across a burning building in suicide slums, but Metallo it terrorizing the business district uptown, and the fire-fighters are stuck in traffic 4 blocks away. You can deal with the fire yourself while Metallo continues to destroy the city, and thus lower the "City Health" meter, or you can pick up the fire truck, place them at the fire, and then rush off to deal with the larger threats that take a "super" touch. By making Metropolis the center of attention, Superman Returns: The Video Game aims to deliver on their promise of letting the player be Superman like never before. Well, as many have speculated, we appear to be getting two albums from Superman Returns. The first, John Ottman's symphonic score, will be released on June 27th, according to JohnOttman.com. It's also noted that Ottman begins recording the score in just two weeks. The second is an "inspired by" album featuring several bands performing both original songs and covers that are about or inspired by Superman. Brandon Routh Interview in Australia

Superman Returns star Brandon Routh was interviewed by the Sydney Morning Herald recently. There are several quotes from Brandon's ShoWest appearance, and some interesting pieces on the film's status as a vague sequel.

While not a sequel, Singer said the movie follows in the spirit and draws on design elements from the earlier Superman movies. To that end, it will not hurt that Routh resembles Reeve.

"Bryan says in some scenes, I'm the spitting image of Chris," Routh said. "Even my intonations of a line. But other times, it's completely different. It comes and goes, which is pretty exciting to me, to think of Chris and all the other Supermans in the past, that now there are things I'm adding to it."

Superman Returns: The Video Game - Metropolis

For Superman Returns: The Video Game, it was important for the developers to create a completely free-roaming environment, and to make it available to the player from the very beginning of the game. When you're dealing with a character who can fly hundreds of miles per hour, puting up invisible barriers around the city just wouldn't work. For the first time ever, players will get to experience the entire layout of the city of Metropolis, and all from a bird's eye view.

However, when building a virtual playground that encompasses 80 square miles of free-roaming territory, it's important that the player be able to quickly and easily find their way around. There's a lot of Metropolis to get lost in. To help players determine their location relative to the rest of the city, Metropolis has been broken up into several districts. The districts include places like the News District, with it's towering GNN building, a tech-heavy Hyper Sector, and even mythos-specific locations like Suicide Slums, which even features a local watering hole most comic fans will immediately recognize - The Ace of Clubs. Each sector of the city features it's own unique color pallettes and architectural styles. Within the greater whole, there's literally a Metropolis for everyone's preferred style, and more of it than ever before.

It's one thing to enjoy all this detail at street level, but when your'e talking about a Superman game, we need to look to the sky. From running along the streets like any third person city game, you can seamlessly transition into flight and go places no game has gone before. Metropolis was designed to be experienced vertically. EA developed new proprietary world-building software to create a Metropolis tailored to the Man of Steel. In addition to helping them differentiate sectors of the city, the world-builder can even give them a heroe's-eye view of the city so they can essentially carve flight paths into the city skyline. Even the heights of buildings are tailored to giving the player a smooth flying experience, which you're going to be thankful for when you're rocketing around at super-speeds. In addition, the team didn't stop designing at ground level. In Metropolis, civilization claws it's way skyward, with advertisements, sky-bridges, and railways sprinkled at all levels - there's even air traffic!

AdAge.com has an article up about the impact that the Superman franchise has had on the many facets of Time Warner. In the article, there's some discussion about the film, and also an interesting remark about a potential direct-to-video Superman film.

There’s a plan in place, Mr. Globe said, to keep “Superman” fresh long after this summer’s movie leaves the multiplex. The studio already has announced another feature film with “Superman Returns” director Bryan Singer, likely for 2009, and possibly a direct-to-video movie in between the upcoming release and the 2009 offering. There will also be a steady stream of entertainment and product, directed by the studio’s global brand management team, which shepherds its franchise properties through every part of their life cycle.

Kel: How’s your Superman different than the late Reeve’s Superman?

Routh: Its different slightly because of the script, different demands. I think in this film we see Superman enduring a lot more emotional stress because he’s gone away and not said his goodbyes. So he’s having to work through relationships again, Lois isn’t happy that he left and so he has to reconnect with a lot of people, his mother, all these people. So emotionally he’s in a different place, he’s growing up and maturing and because these things he learns things and grows from that. So that’s a big difference in how my Superman is different. It’s in the story.

ComingSoon.net is reporting that at today's ShoWest presentation from Warner Brothers, the highly anticipated new trailer for Superman Returns was shown, and received a great reaction.

During Warner Bros. Pictures' presentation, the studio showed three minutes from director Wolfgang Petersen's Poseidon, 10 minutes from writer-director M. Night Shyamalan's Lady in the Water, five minutes of the animated Happy Feet and the highly-anticipated new trailer for director Bryan Singer's Superman Returns. While Singer wasn't able to make it for today's event, the reaction to the trailer was great.

BoxOffice.com has an article up about Superman Returns. It features a few new photos from the film, and a great interview with Brandon Routh in which he demonstrates his natural Supermanish personality.

A rude blare of a car horn interrupts a conversation with Krypton's most famous export. Did someone just honk at Superman?!

"He did!" Superman confirms. "Hey, he just gave me the finger!" he adds, with wholesome incredulity, only to amend, "Oh my gosh! Two fingers!" (What does that even mean, swear-wise?) Meanwhile, the digit-waving motorist who has taken issue with the hero of our story can be heard in the background cursing a blue streak.

"Did we do something wrong?" Brandon Routh, who plays Superman in the Bryan Singer-helmed "Superman Returns," asks his sister (who's doing the driving) in a gee-whiz Clark Kent soundalike delivery that comes naturally to the Iowa native.

"I certainly don't know. He wasn't very nice," Routh remarks evenly regarding the altercation. "He's having a bad day. But that's okay. He can have a bad day. He's not going to ruin my day any."

A rumor from several months back has resurfaced today, and now the question on everyone's mind is whether or not it was a passing rumor at all. Variety has put up a report about actor Hugh Jackman being honored at ShoWest as Male Performer of the Year, and in that description they've included this interesting tidbit:

...and he has a cameo in Bryan Singer's upcoming "Superman Returns," playing the Man of Steel's young dad in flashback mode.

Superman Torch is Passed

USA Today has a new article up about Superman Returns. They discuss Dana Reeve, and a special gift she sent to actor Brandon Routh during filming.

Midway through the filming of Superman Returns, star Brandon Routh received an envelope in the mail. It contained two pendants and a letter. The pendants, each emblazoned with a red S, said simply, "Go Forward."

The note from Dana Reeve, the widow of Superman Christopher Reeve, said much the same thing.

"She said she thought I'd be a good Superman," says Routh, 26, best known for a guest role on Gilmore Girls. "She wished me luck. I can't tell you what that was like to get her blessing. I was nervous, because I had never heard from the family, and it's frightening trying to fill Christopher Reeve's shoes."

Des Moines Iowa news channel KCCI 8 recently interviewed Superman Returns star Brandon Routh. The interview can be heard in the channel's podcast, which you can access here. They discuss his feelings on the film so far, and Routh's growing excitement as the debut approaches.

There is also a brief piece here about a special gift that Dana Reeve sent to Routh. Dana, the widow of Superman actor Christopher Reeve, passed away today at age 44.

New Superman Returns Video Game Screen

Superman Booth is happy to bring you another exclusive image today from the forthcoming Superman Returns: The Video Game. EA provided us with this target render from their development team. For those not familiar with the term, this image was created with models used in the game. The developers place those models into a 3D program, add lighting and shadows, then render out an image to use as a goal. The game's programmers use this goal image as a visual reference to build towards as the game progresses - basically, this is what they want the game to look like.

In this particular image, Superman battles a mysterious creature that's broken out of Cadmus Labs. Cadmus is best known to comic book fans as the institution where the Superboy clone came from, as well as a whole host of other genetic expiriments - some of which turned out better than others.

Kevin Spacy talks about Superman Return Sequel

Actor Kevin Spacey, who plays the villainous Lex Luthor in Superman Returns, was on the British television show Parkinson recently. He revealed to the host that he is indeed set to do a second and possibly third Superman film.

KS: It was a big movie, yes, it's the next Superman in the Superman series, and I play Lex Luthor.

MP: Was that fun?

KS: It was great fun. It's one of the great iconic parts... ever, and I was incredibly fortunate because the film was directed by a remarkable director named Bryan Singer who had directed me 10 years ago in the Usual Suspects, so it was a great opportunity to work together again with Bryan.

MP: And of course it's a franchise, so presumably that looks after you for the next few years?

KS: I will be doing the second one and possibly the third.

Warner Brothers has provided us with this exclusive new photo from Superman Returns. While no official explanation came along with the photo, it appears as though Clark has had Martha Kent saving newspapers in the basment so he can do a little light catch-up reading upon his return. Click the image to see a larger version.

In addition, you can see another pic at IGN of what Clark could be reading - a Daily Planet front page on the disappearance of the Man of Tomorrow. It even includes a new black and white shot of Superman.

And if that's still not enough Superman goodness to hold you over, LatinoReview has yet another new pic of Clark Kent apparently making his return to the Daily Planet.

Superman Returns influencing Comics

Superman Returns has taken many nods from it's comic origins, and many feel that it was inevitable for Superman Returns to begin to influence the comics, whether it be artistically or in storylines, and we've already seen some subtle influences show up, including the re-introduction of the crystals to Superman's Fortress of Solitude. In what is possibly the biggest influence yet, Newsarama has posted this page from the upcoming Geoff Johns' "Up, Up, and Away" story arc. Some similarities to note:

Superman Returns Sequel?

Variety is reporting that a sequel to Superman Returns is already on the slate, with Bryan Singer likely to return to continue the franchise.

Warner Bros. Pictures is already planning the next installments to "Batman Begins" and "Superman Returns," with respective helmers Christopher Nolan and Bryan Singer in line to return. Neither director's deal is closed; the studio has hired Jonah Nolan -- Christopher's brother -- to pen the screenplay for the untitled "Batman" project. Studio has options on "Batman Begins" star Christian Bale and "Superman Returns" star Brandon Routh. Next installment in the Caped Crusader franchise is further along in the process since "Batman Begins" was released last summer; Singer's "Superman Returns," now in post, doesn't bow until June 30. Legendary Pictures, which put up half the financing for both "Batman Begins" and "Superman Returns," is expected to board the sequels and split the budgets 50/50 with Warner Bros. In return, Legendary would split all profits, also 50/50. Projects come as no surprise considering Warner's proclivity for big-budget tentpoles. "Batman" and "Superman" sequels could make their debut in 2008 and 2009, respectively. Warner execs are high on Singer's pic, which returns the comicbook hero to the bigscreen after more than 20 years. Traditionally, Superman has enjoyed wider appeal than the grittier Batman. One idea being tossed about is for Singer to direct a "Superman" sequel soon after he finishes with Warner's remake of sci-fi thriller "Logan's Run," which he's also expected to direct.

Well, there's a good handful of items that have come up recently regarding Superman Returns. Let's start with the action figures and statues that showed up in ToyFare magazine. But be forewarned - there are a couple that could be pretty spoilery. There are several action figures and statues from DC Direct, and even two unfinished statues from WETA Workshop

Additionally, Perry White actor Frank Langella was interviewed by The Envelope. Several interesting Superman Returns bits came from the interview, including the effects of his late casting:

"I went from the last shot in GNGL at 9 or 10 PM at night, then I jumped out of the car and jumped into a waiting car, changed, hugged GC and raced to airport and JUST got on the plane in time to go to Aus, 24 hours later, I was standing on the set of Superman. I landed in Sydney and dropped my suitcases, went straight to the set for costume fitting, it was wonderful and , but stressful."

Last news for tonight is that the red carpet premiere of Superman Returns. At the Mann Theaters website, they've posted info about the SR premiere being held on June 22nd at the Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood, CA. I already know what you're thinking - the website also has this to say:

We can't give out tickets to special premiere events. All premiere tickets are handled through the studios for distribution."

Superman Toys go High-Tech

In the slough of Superman Returns toys that will be coming out this summer there's an interesting high-tech toy due out from Oregon Scientific. They've created a new Superman Returns laptop for kids that's full of educational software.

The Laptop is recommended for ages 5 and up and will be released along with the upcoming Warner Bros. Pictures film, Superman Returns, this summer. A newer version will also be introduced for children ages 3 and older and will include eight learning activities with an ALPHA keyboard. The laptop includes a LCD screen with activities in math, logic, memory and spelling with 30 activities in English and 30 activities in Spanish. Kids can wave their hand above the lid to activate the classic Superman song and pop open the lid.An internal antenna within the lid functions with sensor technology, detects a hand’s natural heat and electromagnetic field and activates the lid to spring into action

Stephan Bender Interview

IESB has up a video interview with actor Stephan Bender. In Superman Returns Bender plays a young Clark Kent just coming into his powers.

Stephan tells us what it was like working on Superman Returns and how he interacted with director Bryan Singer.

He says he is basically a flashback when Clark is thinking back to when he learned about his powers back in Kansas. He said he does a lot of jumping around and is just learining his powers.

Regarding Bryan Singer, Stephan says he is a man that really knows what he wants. He was great and easy going guy.

Superman Returns Topps Trading Card Update

Superman Special Editions Coming

Ilya Salkind, who produced the first three Christopher Reeve Superman films, has revealed that Warner Bros. is in fact working on special edition DVDs for all five Supes pictures from that era (that includes the little-remembered Supergirl). The plan, of course, appears to be to target the release of the DVDs to cash in on the studio’s Superman Returns.

Superman Homepage managed to get Salkind on the phone recently, who explained that he “is indeed working with Michael Thau, the producer and restoration supervisor on the 2001 special edition of Superman: The Movie.” The plan is to create new special edition DVDs of the films, including, apparently, the restoration of footage from Superman II long unseen by fans (or, at least, “officially” unseen by fans).

“Scenes shot by fired director Richard Donner (who directed Superman: The Movie), including all of [Marlon] Brando’s work for the second film, may finally see the light of day,” reports the site.

Whether this will result in a “Donner” cut of the film or simply in deleted scenes included as extra features remains to be seen.

Kirk Alyn - the Original Superman

When people think of the first actor who played Superman, their minds most of the time end up in the same name -- Critopher Reeves, who played Superman in the first MOVIE ADAPTATION of the comic books. however, it was Kirk Alyn who played a live action Superman for the first time in the Superman's 1948 TV Show.

Like many actors of that time, Alyn appeared in low budget films before making his TV impersonation of the Man of Steel. "The Girl who Dared", "Daughter of Don Q" and "the Trap" where the films that pushed into this now mythical role. When the series ended, he retired to Arizona and married, continuing to act playing small roles in movies such as "When worlds collide", "Beggining of the end" and even playing a part in the 1978 Superman movie, he appeared as the husband in the train.

Kirk Alyn passed away in March 14, 1999. He must always be remmebered as the first Superman.
